Texas Tour, Radio, Newspapers, Gigs, News
It’s been very busy of late so I thought I’d just drop you a line to let you know what’s been going on.
A couple of weeks ago I flew off to Texas for the weekend, where I had a great time. I spent a night in Austin, the live music capital of the world, and attended the national convention of the youth movement Young Judaea. Whilst there I did a performance and sold a lot of CDs, so hopefully I’ll now be gradually edging my way into the US market!
There’s also been a lot of coverage in the press recently. I was interviewed live on Shalom FM and am currently working to put the recording up online so if you missed it you can check it out. I’ve also been featured in the Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles, was on the cover of the international magazine ‘Frenzy’ and had a big write-up in the London Jewish News, which is all very cool. The text of all those articles (and in the case of the LJN also the photo!) is now up online at www.antithesismc.com/press for your reading pleasure.
Unfortunately I had to cancel my gig in Essex next week as there was just no way I could get there at the time they wanted me. It’s a real shame but we’re looking to reschedule it for the not too distant future. I’ve also got a couple of interesting things in the pipeline for Yom Ha’atzmaut and once things are confirmed I’ll let you know about it.
Finally it was a great relief to have the bodies of the MIAs returned to their families last month, after so much time fighting for their return. Now that they have been given a proper burial we must continue to push for the release of the soldiers who have been held since 1982 and 1986, so that Israel will no longer have its boys held in appalling conditions in captivity.
Keep telling everyone to pick up the CD – sales are continuing to go very well but there’s no need for them to slow down!
